Preregistration in OSF
Here is how you register your study
All trials and studies funded by the Foundation Dam must preregister in the foundation’s own registry at Open Science Framework (OSF).
1 Create an OSF account
If you don’t have an OSF account, sign up here.
Your collaborators should also register. They can be added to the preregistration draft and work on it together with you.
2 Log in at our registry
Visit our OSF registry (osf.io/registries/dam) and log in
3 Add new registration
Click «Add New»
4 Choose a registration template
You can choose among the following four preregistration templates.
OSF Preregistration
This is our standard, comprehensive, and general-purpose preregistration form. This is the one you should most likely use, even if you are registering after data collection has started or been completed. The template can be previewed here.
Qualitative Preregistration
Template for registering primarily qualitative work. Preview here.
Secondary Data Preregistration
For preregistering a research project that uses an existing dataset. Example here.
Registered Report Protocol Preregistration
Register your protocol AFTER having been given «in-principle acceptance» from a Registered Report journal. Preview here.
5 Complete and submit
When you have completed the preregistration, you submit it to us. We will look through the preregistration to make sure it fulfills our requirements. When approved the registration will be made public.
If you have questions regarding the registration process or template, please visit the OSF Support Page.
